A Bit About Me
Laura, a native of southwest Louisiana, now calls beautiful Olympia home, where she lives with her husband and children.
After graduating high school in 2002, she studied in Mississippi and Texas before spending several years volunteering abroad; experiences that deepened her empathy, expanded her worldview, and continue to inspire her compassionate, people-centered approach to work.
As Ostrander and Deuel’s claim analyst, Laura understands that claims are more than paperwork, they represent people’s lives and livelihoods. She’s committed to ensuring each claim is handled with accuracy, fairness, and care.
Rooted in a family tradition of organic farming, Laura enjoys passing that heritage to her children through compost gardening and community service. She helped establish the first community garden in her rural Louisiana hometown and continues to volunteer locally in Olympia.
A published author, Laura loves exploring the Pacific Northwest through hiking, kayaking, and birdwatching. Outside of work, Laura finds joy in macro photography, gluten-free baking, and family outings to farmers’ markets and local bookstores.
In all that she does, Laura is guided by warmth, curiosity, and a genuine love for people.
Laura is a people-centered claim analyst whose global experiences and community-driven values guide her compassionate approach to work and life.
