Dane Ostrander

Attorney

A Bit About Me

Dane has successfully managed and litigated workers compensation cases for over 25 years, securing a multitude of benefits for injured workers.  He is honored and grateful for every opportunity to represent someone who has sustained an on the job injury or occupational disease.  That is why one hundred percent of his practice is dedicated to fighting for the rights of injured workers.

Dane understands injured workers and their families are going through some of the most stressful times of their lives. In addition to their pain and life changes, injured workers face an adversarial and difficult system, a nightmare of paperwork and a labyrinth of hoops to jump through.  Dealing with the whole system multiplies the impact of the injury.  That is why Dane is committed to walking his clients through the workers compensation process to maximize their benefits, while providing peace of mind.

Dane was born and raised in Olympia.  He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Economics.  He received his Master of Business Administration and Law degrees from Willamette University.  After graduating from law school, Dane worked as a Corporate Controller for an Oregon company, where his job duties included representing the company’s interest in workers’ compensation matters. In 2000, he returned to Olympia and practiced law with Wayne Williams and Doug Wyckoff. In 2005, Dane, along with Wayne and Doug, formed the firm of Williams, Wyckoff & Ostrander, PLLC.  This firm has now become Ostrander & Deuel, PLLC, after the retirement of Wayne Williams and Doug Wyckoff.    Dane and Breanna Deuel became partners in July, 2024 and are continuing in the representation of injured workers.    He has authored and coauthored articles for the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and Continuing Legal Education Seminars.

Dane is committed to walking his clients through the workers compensation process to maximize their benefits, while providing peace of mind

Dane has three children, who keep him busy coaching their teams and participating in their activities.  Dane frequently volunteers his time and has served on the Board of Directors for the Black Hills Youth Baseball organization.
